Media Studies: Philosophy, Communication, Art is the first Lithuanian publication that looks at the subject of media in the context of academic discourse. The articles comprising the book present critical insights into particular media (for instance, photography) and various groups of practices associated with them (sound art, media art and the like) using an interdisciplinary approach. The book is compiled by media theorist Vytautas Michelkevičius and published by the publishing house of the Vilnius Academy of Art.
Articles featured in the publication include Media, Art, and Sensual Perception by Arūnas Gelūnas, Photography: Between Mediation and Simulation of Visual Experience by Tomas Pabedinskas and Sound Art in the Context of Performative New Media Practices by Tautvydas Bajarkevičius.
